Handling Events
The
PreviewEvent
function is provided so that your preview component can do standard event filtering. See
Inside Macintosh: Files
for details on the standard dialog event filter function.
PreviewEvent
If your preview component handles events, the
PreviewEvent
function is called as appropriate.

Specifies your preview component. You obtain this identifier from the Component Manager's
OpenComponent
function. See the chapter "Component Manager" in

Contains a pointer to the event structure for this operation.

Contains a pointer to a Boolean value. If you completely handle an event such as a mouse-down event or keystroke, you should set the
handledEvent
parameter to
true
. Otherwise, set it to
false
.
